    I’m ready when you are!

My name is Jeana Jordan. I am a licensed social worker (LSW) and I can help you develop skills to show up as a more authentic version of yourself. I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping teens and adults accurately identify their needs and desires, learn communication skills to engage in healthy conflict-resolution conversations, build and strengthen connections with loved ones and shift the negative relationship patterns that keep them stuck repeating the same broken patterns.

Most commonly in my work with clients over the years, I’ve noticed that other members of their support system have encouraged them to seek out support. This illustrates that sometimes our suffering may be more pervasive than we may think or even notice. It’s easy for those who care about us to internalize some of our concerns since they care for us so deeply. This level of caring can lead to increased tension in relationships.

Utilizing a relational approach in my work with clients allows them to view their relationships as a source of comfort rather than the enemy. When you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, loss, parenting struggles, and high levels of stress, it is really easy to feel like no one gets it. These challenging emotions can feel very isolating and even hopeless at times, which can result in the urge to push people away.

In addition to this speciality area, I am well versed in empirically supported treatments for anxiety disorders and depression. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults that are motivated to do the work. My experiences as a (high achiever) and special education teacher have offered me a wealth of knowledge and experience, which has allowed me to collaborate really well with parents regarding best practices to help their teenager.

I use a variety of evidence based curricula and interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Couples, and Solution-Focused Therapy, to help you identify a life that is worth living and excites you.

Like I said, I’m ready when you are!
