Leslie Hendrickson, LCSW, CADC
Time.
So often we live in the past, stuck in our memories or old habits and thinking of “the time gone by”. It can be easy to look back on these times with sadness or regret, especially if we don’t take the time to understand and accept ourselves, our stories, and the things that we cannot change.
We often find ourselves consumed with worries about the future—what it holds or whether things will ever change. However, by grounding ourselves in the present moment and embracing the reality of our current circumstances, we can sometimes realize that we are living the very moment our past selves worked so hard to achieve
My name is Leslie Hendrickson. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Working with individuals with a history of substance or alcohol abuse, or those who may be impacted by others’ use of substances is a strong professional passion of mine. I also enjoy working with individuals who identify with symptoms of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, and acute or chronic mental health symptoms/diagnoses.
I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet you exactly where you are. My background in crisis services means I can help you tackle immediate concerns with a solution-focused lens, while also empowering you to achieve long-term growth.
I get it—therapy can feel intimidating. That’s why I bring humor, energy, and warmth to every session. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and maybe even enjoy the process of self-discovery. I love celebrating your victories, big or small, because every step forward matters. In my work, I strive to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and welcoming space for everyone. My energetic, positive, and supportive approach helps make the process of therapy feel less overwhelming—transforming it into something you might even look forward to! Personally, I enjoy incorporating therapeutic techniques into my own life through practices like yoga, running, reading, and spending time in nature. Exploring new ideas and cultures, especially through music, is something I’m deeply passionate about.
Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “broken”—it’s about reshaping your mindset and rediscovering your strength. Let’s work together to create a life where you feel more present, more confident, and more hopeful about what’s ahead. I’m so excited to walk this journey with you.
